Payroll

Mandating the Minimum Wage Field for Employee Positions

Subscriptions: Payroll Add-On (US Only)

To continue supporting evolving payroll compliance requirements, the Minimum Wage field is now required when setting up Employee Positions for U.S. payroll accounts.

When running payroll, the system will now verify that each employee position has a minimum wage selected. If a position is missing this information, payroll processing will pause and prompt administrators to update the position before continuing.

This enhancement helps ensure payroll configurations include the correct wage references required for certain calculations, while reducing the risk of incomplete setup interrupting payroll processing.

📌 Note: U.S. payroll customers may have seen an in-app notification in late February announcing this upcoming change ahead of its March release.

Subscription: Payroll Add-On

Verifying employee details during payroll just got easier! A new View Profile shortcut is now available when selecting employees on the Earnings & Deductions page.

Once an employee is selected, a View Profile link appears that opens the employee’s profile in a new tab, allowing administrators to confirm important details without leaving their current payroll workflow.

This small improvement helps reduce entry errors and makes it easier to verify employee information during payroll processing.

Running off-cycle payroll just got easier to verify! The Off-Run payroll page has also been updated so administrators can quickly confirm they are selecting the correct employee, without interrupting their workflow.

When adding employees to an Off-Run, each employee listed now includes a direct link to their employee profile. Selecting the link opens the profile in a separate tab, allowing you to review key details fast, avoiding confusion between employees with similar names and reducing the risk of payroll errors.

Scheduler

Generate Schedule Presets from Past Shifts

Subscription: All Plans

Scheduling just got smarter! You can now automatically generate Schedule Presets based on historical shift patterns, helping teams use real scheduling data to build future schedules more efficiently.

A new Generate Schedule Presets option in the Scheduler analyzes previously published shifts (House Shifts are not included) and you can choose which positions to analyze. Any presets created automatically will be clearly labelled Auto-Generated”, making them easy to distinguish from presets created manually.

📌 | Note: Presets are generated using the last 8 weeks of published shift data, and a pattern must appear at least three times before a preset is created. These presets can then be used with regular scheduling workflows, templates, or the Auto Scheduler to help automate future schedules.

💡| Tip: If you do not like the auto-generatd presets, quickly remove them using the bulk deletion option on the Schedule Presets page. The system will also not create duplicate presets if one with the same position, time, and days already exists.
