Payroll
BC Sick Pay
Push Subscription: Payroll Add-On (Exclusive to the Province, British Columbia)
Our system automatically calculates sick pay based on BC's regulations of an average day's pay!
There are two options we offer for users to manage sick pay in BC in an account:
- Add an Earning and Deduction entry each time an employee is sick. Based on the specific day an employee was sick, the system will calculate the dollar value when payroll is processed based on their worked hours.
- Utilize Leave Management to assist with tracking sick time off requests. Approve these requests, and the system will automatically create the Earning and Deduction entry to calculate the dollar value when payroll is processed based on their worked hours.
For more information about the BC Sick Pay manual Earning and Deductions, please take a look at one of the following articles, What's New in Push: November 2023, How To Request BC Sick Pay, or How To Perform An Employee Sick Payout In BC.
For more information about Leave Management, please take a look at the article Why Would I Use Leave Management? For more details about how Leave Management and BC Sick Pay work, please scroll down to the Leave Management section in this article!

Leave Management
BC Sick Pay
Push Subscription: Premium or Pro + Leave Management Add-On (Exclusive to the Province, British Columbia, Canada)
Our system now automatically calculates sick pay for our BC clients when an employee requests time off from a paid sick Policy.
Approve an employee's time off request from a paid sick policy, and the system will automatically create an Earning and Deduction entry that will calculate an average day's pay! Based on the specific date(s) the employee requested sick time, the system will use the last 30 days worked prior, calculating the average day's pay!
When payroll is processed, users can see the dollar amount on the employee's paystubs, the policy reflecting the days taken and remaining balance, and the historical Earnings and Deduction entry to see the average day's pay amount calculated.
If you wish for your account to have access to this feature, please don't hesitate to contact your account representative directly to enable this feature. If you do not have an account representative, please contact the Push Support Team at support@pushoperations.com to best assist you!
