Payroll
BC Sick Pay
Push Subscription: Payroll Add-On (Exclusive to the Province, British Columbia)
Our system now offers the ability for sick pay to be automatically calculated for our BC clients. Users can now pay their employees for sick time and not worry about calculating an average day's pay!
Simply add an Earning and Deduction entry for the specific day an employee was sick, and the system will calculate the dollar value when payroll is processed. Based on the specific date inputted in the entry, the system will use the last 30 days worked prior, calculating the average day's pay!
When payroll is processed, users will be able to see the dollar amount on the employee's paystubs, as well as view the historical Earnings and Deduction entry to see the average day's pay amount that was calculated.
If you wish for your account to have access to this feature, please don't hesitate to contact your account representative directly to enable this feature. If you do not have an account representative, please contact the Push Support Team at support@pushoperations.com to best assist you!
Note that this feature is currently not connected with Leave Management. Please stay tuned for an update when this is available!

T4 Report Dental Care Insurance (Box 45)
Push Subscription: Payroll Add-On (Canada only)
CRA has mandated that for 2023, businesses report whether employee(s) or any of their family member(s) were eligible, on December 31 of that year, to access any dental care insurance or coverage of dental services of any kind that was offered. Push assists with this new regulation by allowing users to submit and update the employee's coverage status prior to T4's being processed.
This will be available under a new section in the Payroll tab: Employee T4 Info Update or in the T4 banner under the Run Payroll section.
Users can save changes for specific or all employees until they are ready. However, users will not have the option to request that T4s be completed early until all employee(s) statuses have been updated.
Please note that if users do not assign statuses to all employees by January 7th, 2024, your account's T4 completion date may be delayed until the last week of February.
If you have any questions or need clarification regarding different codes or eligibility, please review this page from CRA and/or contact your health insurance plan provider.
For a step-by-step guide to complete this process in your account, please reference the following article: How To Submit Employee's Dental Care Insurance (Box 45) For T4's

Human Resources
Returning Employees + Digital Onboarding
Push Subscription: HR Add-on
When reactivating an employee or in bulk from the Inactive or On Leave List, you now have the option to put these team members back through digital onboarding. Ensure your employees provide up-to-date information, from their legal name, preferred name, SIN/SNN, banking information for direct deposit, signatures for new policies, tax forms, and more!
Prior to reactivation, users will be able to assign back the employee's previous Position or assign a brand new Position. When choosing one of these options, you will see the new Onboarding option available to assign or skip.
Employees will receive an email invitation with the subject line: Your Push Operations Account has been Reactivated with a link to begin digital onboarding!
Employees only need to worry about updating their information, as their previous details will automatically be pre-populated.
To learn more about how to assign digital onboarding for returning employees, please review the following articles: How To Reactivate An Inactive/On Leave Employee, How To Bulk Reactivate Employees, or Is There A Way For An Inactive/On Leave Employee To Complete Digital Onboarding As They Are Returning?
Applicant Tracking
Custom Position Names
Push Subscription: HR Add-On
Users will now have the option to input a public-facing role when creating Job Postings instead of revealing the internal Position. Customize any Job Posting that is existing or brand new to have a unique Position name if needed!
These custom Position names will also be used on any template created under our Applicant Tracking feature! This includes Message Templates, Interview Templates, and Offer Letter Templates!
Note that if the Job Posting is updated, any historical offers and messages already sent or generated will not be.

Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
2FA for Administrators
Push Subscription: All Plans
To ensure security is maintained for all users, Super Administrators and Team Administrators with permissions to payroll will now be prompted to set up two-factor authentication after login if not already enabled.
It is not mandatory that 2FA be set up, and users are free to skip this reminder. However, Push recommends that 2FA be enabled for all users to ensure proper security.
Before setting up 2FA, please make sure you have an authenticator app already downloaded. If 2FA is set up incorrectly, you will be locked out of your account. If this happens, please contact the Push Support Team at support@pushoperations.com to help you.
If interested in setting up 2FA outside of this pop-up message, please reference the following article: How To Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
