Question
- What do I use the E/D Presets for?
Environment:
- Push Web App
Answer
There are many presets enabled in your Push Account for Earnings and Deductions, and it is essential to use the correct preset as some are taxed differently from others.
Preset Name | Description |
Regular Pay | this preset is used when you might need to add additional hours to someone's paystub because they forgot to clock in and out for a shift. |
Retroactive Pay | this preset is used when you might have missed earnings from the previous pay period, and you want to indicate on the paystub for the employee to see that it was paid out on this pay run. |
Overtime Pay | this preset is used for when overtime pay was missed or you updated your overtime rules. |
Statutory Holiday Pay | this preset is used for adding statutory holiday pay to the pay run |
Statutory Holiday Work Pay | this preset is used for adding statutory holiday work pay to a pay run. Employees should only have this on their paystub if they work the day of the holiday |
Severance Pay | this preset should not be confused with pay in lieu of notice. Severance Pay is used when someone has been let go from their position and paid for the years of service to the business. |
Vacation Payout | this preset is used when people have banked vacation and require paid out as they are taking time off. If employees have the option to have Vacation Paid Out Per Cheque, then you will most likely never use this preset, but you will see it appear on a paystub each payroll. |
Vacation Payout (Termination) | this preset is used when people have banked vacation that's required to be paid out. If this is an employee's final paycheque, this preset will pay their vacation out and not accrue any additional leave. |
