How To View A Record Of Employment (ROE) As An Employee

Goal

  • How to see an ROE
  • How to access my ROE

Environment:

  • Push Web App

Process:

  1. Log in to your Push Account on a desktop.
  2. Click the My Summary tab.
  3. Under Employee Summary, scroll down to Record of Employment History.
  4. On the right side, under Form, click the Clipboard icon.
  5. A new page will open with a PDF of the ROE to view or download.

Additional Information

Once your employer has submitted a request for an ROE, it can take 5–7 business days to be processed. When processing is complete, the file will be available in your account.

Note: At this time, Records of Employment (ROEs) are not available through the mobile Push Employee app. Please log in to the web app and follow the instructions above to view your ROE, or access it through your My Service Canada Account (MSCA).

If your ROE is not visible after the processing time or if any details need to be corrected, please contact your employer or direct manager for assistance.

When you view the Record of Employment section in the system, you’ll see a summary of your departure details along with the ability to view the official document.

  • Submission Date: The date your employer submitted your ROE for processing.
  • Reason: This is the code your employer selects to explain why your ROE is being issued. Most often, it’s because your employment has ended, and the code will reflect the reason (for example, you resigned, were laid off, or your contract ended). Service Canada sets the list of available codes.
  • Comment: – Any extra notes your employer included when submitting your ROE. This field may be blank if no notes were added.
  • Will Return: An internal note showing whether your employer expects you to return to work in the future. This does not appear on your official ROE. It’s for record-keeping purposes only and is usually based on conversations you’ve had with your employer. Possible values are Yes, No, or Unknown.
  • Last Date Worked: The last day you were paid insurable earnings is often your final workday. If you received paid leave after that day, the date may be later.
Form: A link to open the official ROE in PDF format. This is the government-approved version that can be reviewed, downloaded, or printed. Selecting the Clipboard icon opens the PDF in a new page.
    • Note that the Clipboard icon may not be available if the ROE is still being processed, which can take 5–7 business days to complete.

  • I have been laid off for 5 days already and still no ROE.  How much longer do you expect the wait to be to receive my ROE?

  • Profile wiped clean due to lay off, and no ROE. I expect a few days wait, and truly miss the days of printed forms.
