Accessing Your Pay Stubs as an Employee

⚡ What is a Pay Stub?

A pay stub is a record of a single payment from your employer. It shows how much you earned for a pay period, what was deducted (such as taxes and benefits), and the amount paid to you, known as your net pay.

You'll receive a new pay stub each time your employer processes payroll. You might need to view or download your pay stubs for different reasons:

  • For your own records, such as checking a recent payment or keeping a copy of your earnings.
  • For an application, such as a mortgage, loan, rental, or immigration application, which often asks for several months of pay stubs.

Pay stubs may sometimes be referred to as paystubs or pay slips, but all refer to the same thing.

💡 | Tip: Need a full payroll year of pay stubs? Use the web app on a desktop browser. Bulk downloading is not available in the Push Employee App at this time.

Viewing and Downloading Your Pay Stubs

Each time your employer processes payroll, a new pay stub is added to your account. Depending on your notification settings, you'll be notified on payday in a few different ways:

  • An email notification letting you know your new pay stub is ready.
  • A push notification sent to your phone from the Push Employee App.

You can view and download your pay stubs in a few ways:

  • Through the Push Employee App, where you can view and download pay stubs one at a time.
  • Through your account on a desktop browser, where you can view and download pay stubs one at a time, or bulk download every pay stub from a payroll year at once.

📌 | Note: If you don't see Pay Stubs in the Push Employee App menu, your employer has turned off pay stub access in the app. You can still view and download your pay stubs on a desktop browser.

Option 1: Viewing and Downloading Pay Stubs Through the Push Employee App (Mobile)

If you'd like to check or save a pay stub on your phone, we recommend using the Push Employee App. It lets you access your pay stubs wherever you are, without needing to log in on a desktop browser.

  1. Open the Push Employee App on your device.
  2. Log in using the email address and password associated with your PUSH account.
  3. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
  4. From the menu, select Pay Stubs.
  5. A list of your pay stubs will appear, organized by pay period, with the most recent at the top.
  6. Tap the arrow icon next to the pay stub you want to view.
  7. The pay stub will open, where you can review the full details.
    1. To return to the list, tap Back.
  8. To save a copy to your device, tap Download at the bottom of the screen, and the pay stub will be saved to your phone!

Option 2: Viewing and Downloading Pay Stubs Through a Desktop

If you need more than one pay stub, or prefer a bigger screen, we recommend using a desktop browser. The My Summary tab shows every pay stub your employer has issued to you, organized by payroll year.

From here, you can open and download a single pay stub or bulk-download all pay stubs for a single payroll year at once. The bulk download is a ZIP file, a single compressed folder containing a separate PDF for each pay stub.

📌 | Note: Pay stubs are grouped by pay date, not pay period. For example, a pay period ending December 29, 2024, that was paid on January 3, 2025, is included in the 2025 download.

  1. Log in to your account on a desktop browser.
  2. Click the My Summary tab.
  3. The Employee Payroll Summary page will open. Scroll down to the Payroll History Summary section.
  4. Under Payroll Year, click the drop-down menu and select the year of the pay stub you need. It will default to the current year.
💡 | Tip: To see pay stubs from every year in one list, select All.
  5. On the right side, check/uncheck the box labelled "Show Payrun Without Earnings," if applicable. This will filter out any pay periods where you were not paid (e.g. $0).
  6. Choose how you'd like to download:
    1. To view or download a single pay stub: Locate the pay date you need, and under Paystub, click View. The pay stub will open as a PDF, which you can review, download, or print!

    2. To bulk-download all pay stubs for a year, click Download all pay stubs (PDF). Once the ZIP file has downloaded, open it to access each pay stub as its own PDF, named by pay date (for example, 2025-06-30.First_Name.payrun.pdf), and you're done!

📌 | Note: The Download all paystubs (PDF) button only appears once a specific year is selected. It won't appear when All is selected, or when the selected year has no pay stubs.
💡 | Tip: Bulk downloads cover one payroll year at a time. To get two years of pay stubs, repeat these steps for each year.

Turning Pay Stub Notifications On or Off

Option 2: Turning Notifications On or Off Through a Desktop

  1. Log in to your account on a desktop browser.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the Company name.
  3. In the drop-down menu, click Settings.

Frequently Asked Questions About Accessing Your Pay Stubs

Do you have questions about finding or downloading your pay stubs? Whether you're wondering why a button is missing, how to get a full payroll year, or what happens after you leave a job, we've got you covered with quick answers to common questions.

💡 | Tip: Can't find what you're looking for? Contact your direct manager or employer if you need more help with your pay stubs.

Q: Why don't I see the Download all paystubs (PDF) button?
A: The bulk download is based on a single payroll year, so the button only appears once you select a specific year under Payroll Year. If Payroll Year is set to All, or you select a year with no pay stubs, the button also won't appear. Note that the bulk download is also available only in a desktop browser, not in the Push Employee App.

👉 If you only need a few pay stubs, you can download them individually by clicking View under Paystub.

Q: Can I download a custom date range or more than one payroll year at once?
A: Not at this time. Bulk downloads cover one full payroll year. To get pay stubs from two years, download each year separately.

Q: Why is a December pay stub in the next year's download?
A: Pay stubs are grouped by the date you were paid, not the pay period they cover. If a December pay period was paid in January, it's included with the January year.

Q: Can I bulk download a full payroll year of pay stubs in the Push Employee App?
A: No. The Push Employee App lets you download pay stubs one at a time. To bulk-download a full payroll year at once, log in to your account in a desktop browser.

👉 If you don't have access to a desktop, your employer can bulk download your pay stubs and share them with you.

Q: Can I still access my pay stubs if I'm on leave or no longer work for my employer?
A: Yes. On Leave and former employees can still view and download their pay stubs on a desktop browser and in the Push Employee App. Former employees can also bulk-download a full year of payroll in a desktop browser

👉 However, if your employer no longer uses PUSH, you will not have access to your account. We recommend contacting your current or former employer, who can help provide copies.

Q: I don't see Pay Stubs in the Push Employee App. What should I do?
A: Your employer may have turned off pay stub access in the app. You can still view and download your pay stubs on a desktop browser.

👉 If you're still having trouble, your employer or manager can help guide you.

Q: Something on my pay stub looks wrong. Who should I contact?
A: Your pay stub reflects the payroll your employer processed, so any questions about your hours, pay, or deductions should go to them.

👉 Contact your employer or direct manager so they can review it with you.
