How To Filter Clock Entries

Goal

  • How to only view unapproved clock entries when approving and adjusting

Environment:

  • Push Web App

Process:

  1. Click the Employees or Scheduler tab
  2. On the left hand navigation bar, click Clock Approvals
  3. Under Departments, click the white box and select from the list the appropriate Department(s)
  4. Under Positions, click the white box and select from the list the appropriate Position(s)
  5. Under Shift Type, click the drop down menu and select either: All, Day, or Night
  6. Under Employee, click the drop down menu and select either: All or the specific Employees
  7. Under Pay Run, click the drop down menu and select the appropriate cut off date 
  8. Under Start Date, click either: the white box to select a specific date, Show All, or Show Yesterday
  9. Under End Date, click either: the white box to select a specific date, Show All, or Show Yesterday
  10. Under Approval Status, click the drop down menu and select either: All, Approved, or Unapproved
  11. Under Filters, click the drop down menu and select either: None, Clock Records With Notes/Comments, Missed Clock Out, or Deleted Clocks
  12. Under Order, click the drop down menu and select either: Descending or Ascending
  13. Once done, click Search

Additional Information

You can filter Clock Approvals using a wide variety of search parameters that is unique based on what you select to assist you with approving or editing clock entries. 

To adjust an employee's clock times, you have two options: you can Quick Edit the clock entry on the same screen to adjust the clock in and out time or you can Edit the Clock Entry to adjust all information associated.

You will need to ensure that all clocks are approved with the correct Position and hours (marked with a green dot) as the hours approved will be what is used in payroll.

You will not be able to adjust clock entries for approval if you have an open payrun pending approval. You will need to delete the run in order to make adjustments under Clock Approvals. 

Please note, that only Super Administrators and Team Administrators with permission to View/Update Clock Approvals by Position will be able to access this information.
