You must take the time to review the timecards in Clearview and manually submit them to Push. |
The final hours must be reviewed and approved in Clearview before sending to Push for Payroll |
Once all of your timecards are sent to Push, they will be known as clocks and accessible under Clock Approvals for review, based on the information extracted from Clearview. Based on your Company Setup, Push will handle the calculations for overtime, or statutory holidays or any of the rules associated with custom hour structures; all premiums are calculated based on the timecards sent from Clearview.
Timecard Accuracy
Until you export your final timecards from Clearview at the end of the pay period, all hours are considered estimates as Push doesn't have final hours. The most accurate picture of your labour cost will come when you finalize all your clocks for the payroll period and export them to Push.
Please note that Push will only be able to automatically edit clocks from Clearview for the most recent 48 hours. Any other updates to Clearview clocks will be completed when the Clearview export is sent to Push. If this step is not completed, there may be errors in the integration.
Company ID Information
To integrate and connect with Clearview to sync your Payroll timecards, you will need to ask your implementation specialist to send you the Company ID or ask the Push Support Team, who can be contacted on support@pushoperations.com. For any of the companies, you'd like to sync clocks for. A super administrator from that company needs to contact Push Support to verify their identity before issuing the Company ID to maintain account security.
Once you've received your Company ID, you can input this into the Payroll Employer Code field in the Clearview within Settings under Stores and click the Store Number.
Important Clearview Information
When setting up your Payroll Earnings Table in Clearview, make sure you confirm your Regular pay types correctly,
- Earnings Codes: Make sure these codes accurately match your pay types in Push. You can see all the pay types by running an Employee Information Report and including Salary as an option in the report.
- Extract: this is a Yes or No answer which decides if the timecards will be exported to Push. Make sure to pay close attention when updating this setting Clearview has recommended ensuring these settings are checked as yes unless there is a payment type you don't want to send over to Push. You will want to repeat the same steps for paid breaks and overtime.
Statutory Holidays
Push will handle the Statutory Holiday calculations for your business, reducing any manual calculations, but there are some necessary settings you need to ensure you follow in Clearview. You do not want to export the regular wages in the past four weeks (20 days) as Push will automatically calculate the amount; set that to No. You want to extract the working stat pay as these hours are needed to calculate the statutory holiday; set this to Yes.
Handling Multiple Positions
When the integration is connected, Push will look at the position assigned to the employee in Clearview, and if the Position matches the Push position, it will connect it. In the situation that the Position does not match then Push will create a new position in Push with the Clearview position name.
Optionally Push will use the rate from the employee's Primary position in Push for the Clearview position. For example, if my position in Clearview is Server and in Push the position is Employee and in Push, I am paid $10 then when the clock is exported to Push your employee will have a new position called Employee and they will have an assigned rate of $10. In order for this copying of rates to be turned on, you will need to contact Push support.
Additional Information
Ensure that the Employee ID in Clearview and matches the Push employee number. This is how the Clock is associated with the employee. If you notice that the clocks are not syncing for an employee, make sure you run an Employee Information Report and Include the Employee Number to compare it to the Clearview employee ID.
There is also an option to use the clock id in Push to match with the Employee Id in Clearview. If you would like to do this please contact Push Support and let them know. By default it will use employee number from Push.
Before running Payroll in Push, you must run an Audit Clock Approvals Report for the pay period and review all hourly rates for approved clocks to ensure employees are being paid the appropriate rate for their shifts.
Important
One final step in Clearview that must be completed before processing payroll in Push is sending the Time Card Summary Report. The timecard data is sent to Push automatically every 15 minutes but is only considered as an estimate.
Please review your Timecard summary report in Clearview and then submit the report to Push.
It is important to review the POS/Integrations page from your Company Setup. If you see that there is a missing employee you will need to add that employee to your Push account and ensure that their employee number matches their Clearview employee ID. After that contact the Support team to have the clocks updated. If this is not done those employees will not be paid.
It is important to keep employee positions and salaries updated in Push as this is taken as the source of truth for an employee’s salary.
