What Is A Bad Shift?

Question

  • What are Bad Shifts in the Scheduler?

Environment:

  • Push Web App

Answer

Bad Shifts are displayed when managers are trying to copy over Schedules from one week to another. If the employee's Position is no longer active, the shifts copied over will be displayed as Bad Shifts. This is to inform the manager who is creating the schedule that the employee is no longer assigned to the position.

When hovering the Bad Shift, you have two options:

Garbage Can icon: This action is to delete the shift and cannot be undone once it has been completed.

House icon: This will convert the bad shift as a house shift. Once this has been completed, you can assign it to another employee who is assigned to that position.

Additional Information

You are not able to drag Bad Shifts under House Shifts, you will need to click the House icon.

Please note, that only Super Administrators and Team Administrator's with permissions to View and Update the Scheduler by Position will be able to make these changes.
