Viewing Previous Pay Runs and Payroll Activity

⚡ Purpose 

Every processed payroll is saved in the Payroll History tab, providing a record of past payroll activity within your account. In this article, you’ll learn how to review previous pay runs, access payroll summaries, and view the History of Changes associated with a pay run.

🔐 Access required

The Payroll History page is part of our Payroll feature, available to all subscriptions with the Payroll Add-On.

Who can access?

  • Super Administrators: Full access to view Payroll History, payroll summaries, and the History of Changes associated with processed pay runs.
  • Team Administrators:  Can view Payroll History, payroll summaries, and the History of Changes if the Run Payroll permission is granted. If you are unable to access Payroll History, please confirm your permissions with a Super Administrator.

Process:

  1. Click the Payroll tab.
  2. Click Payrun History on the left-hand navigation bar.
  3. Under the Pay Run Summary column, click Summary that corresponds with the pay period you wish to review.
  4. . You will be taken to the Payroll Summary page for the selected pay run, where you can review:
    1. Employees included in the pay run
    2. Hours and earnings processed
    3. Employee pay stubs
    4. Payment methods
    5. Employee and Employer taxes and deductions

Additional Information

The Payroll History page also includes a History of Changes section, allowing you to review key payroll actions associated with a pay run. This includes details about who ran, approved, unapproved, reversed, or deleted a pay run, along with the date and time the action occurred.

📌 | Note: The History of Changes is available for actions performed on or after May 19, 2026, at 12:30 PM PST. Actions completed before this date are not included in the history.
