Environment:
- Push Web App
Process:
- Click the Company Name in the top right-hand corner
- In the drop-down menu, click Company Setup
- On the left-hand Navigation bar, click Breaks Setup
- In the top right-hand corner, click + New Break
- Under Break Name, input the title of the Break
- Under Break Duration (Minutes), input the total amount of minutes of the break
- Under Paid or Unpaid, select the Radio Button icon that corresponds with the break being Paid or Unpaid

Under Positions, click the Radio Button icon that corresponds with either All Positions or Custom Positions
- If Custom Positions is selected, click Edit Positions
- In the pop-up, check/uncheck the box(es) that correspond with the relevant Position(s) that will have access to the Break
- Once done, click Select Positions
- Under Break Prompt, click the drop-down menu and select the relevant Prompt that was created under Break Prompt Setup if applicable
- Under Break Waiver, click the drop-down menu and select the relevant Waiver that was created under Break Waiver Setup
- Under Break Rules, input the following information:
- Available on the time app at the start of hour, specify the total number of hours in the shift for the employee to be able to select a break
- Break penalty triggers if break is not taken by the end of hour, specify the total number of hours into the shift at which the break violation will occur if no break is recorded
- Waivable if clock out happens between hours, specify the start and end times into the shift during which the employee can waive their break

No Early Breakout, select either check box:
- Check the box if employees cannot come back from their break until it is completed or a
- Uncheck the box if employees have the ability to come back from their break early without an Administrator override

Enforce Violation, select either check box:
- Check the box for the system to create a violation if the employee's break was not fully taken
- Uncheck the box

Employee Selectable, select either check box:
- Check the box for employees to be able to select this Break
- Uncheck the box for this break to be unavailable to employees
- Under Warning Threshold, specify the total number of hours into the shift when you want to receive your first warning that a break is approaching for an employee
- Under Danger Threshold, specify the total number of hours into the shift when you want to receive your final warning that a break is approaching a violation for an employee
- Once done, click Save
Additional Information
This is the fourth and final step to ensure employees can record their breaks that will assist. you to follow the guidelines set by your US state.
When an employee is going to record their break, they will have the option to select one of these Break Types. Note that Breaks is only available on the Push Time app.

Push agents do not set up defaults; we will help you to set to your preferences but since each client can vary in their break setup based on their company's culture and location. Remember that the system is only as good as the data put into it; we can offer "Best Practices" but not legal advice.
Please note that only Super Administrators can make changes to Break Rules.

There is no "Break Setup" Section on the left hand side of my screen when I navigate to "company Setup"
