Goal
- How to move the order of employees listed in the Scheduler
- I schedule my employees based on seniority; how can I move them to the top?
- I updated the Filter to be Employee Sorting: Custom, but nothing happens; how can I move my employees?
Environment:
- Push Web App
Process:
Setup Employee Sorting: Custom
- Click the Scheduler tab
- On the left-hand navigation bar, click Weekly Schedule
- On the right side, click Filter
- In the pop-up page under Employee Sorting, click Custom
- Once done, click Close
Custom Sort Employees under the Employees View:
- Click the Scheduler tab
- On the left-hand navigation bar, click Weekly Schedule
- To the right of the current Week, click the drop-down menu and select Employees
- Under the relevant Position, hover over the specific employee to the left of their Name (edge of the box on the far left)
- When hovering, a Four Arrows icon will appear
- Once the Four Arrows icon appears, click and drag the employee to where you would like them in the list
- Once done, unclick to drop the employee to where you moved them
- Continue this process for any other employees that you wish to adjust how they are sorted!
Custom Sort Employees under the Employees Unique View:
- Click the Scheduler tab
- On the left-hand navigation bar, click Weekly Schedule
- To the right of the current Week, click the drop-down menu and select Employees Unique
- Under All Employees, hover over the specific employee to the left of their Name (edge of the box on the far left)
- When hovering, a Four Arrows icon will appear
- Once the Four Arrows icon appears, click and drag the employee to where you would like them in the list
- Once done, unclick to drop the employee to where you moved them
- Continue this process for any other employees that you wish to adjust how they are sorted!
Additional Information
Utilizing the Employee Sorting: Custom will allow you to decide how you wish to see your employees when scheduling. This is a great option if you Schedule based on seniority or require specific employees to be at the top of the list.
There are currently 3 different ways to sort employees when scheduling:

Employee Sorting A-Z: Automatically update the order of Employees by Position in the Scheduler from A-Z

Employee Sorting Z-A: Automatically update the order of Employees by Position in the Scheduler from Z-A

Employee Sorting Custom: Manually update the order of Employees by Position unique to your own list
Employee Sorting Custom is unavailable on the Scheduler Views: Positions and Daily.
If you wish to adjust the order of your Positions in the Scheduler, please update the Position Name under Employee Positions to include either 1,2,3, etc. or a,b,c, etc.
Please note that only Super Administrators and Team Administrators with permission to View and/or Update the Scheduler by Position(s) can filter the Scheduler.
