- How to create a group channel in Chat as a manager
- How to add multiple team members to a Chat Channel in the Manager app
Environment:
- Push Manager App
Process:
Add specific employees to a brand new chat channel:
- Open the Push Manager App and enter your login credentials using your Email Address and Password associated with your Push account
- On the top left corner, tap the Three Stripes
- In the drop-down menu, tap Chat
- Under Channels, tap Add Channel
- In the pop-up below, tap Create a Channel
- Under Create a Channel, input the name of the Channel
- To add the relevant members to the Channel, tap Add By Employee
- Under Add Employees, input the name of the specific team members under To: Type a name and/or scroll through the list and tap the checkbox(es) that corresponds with the relevant team member(s)
- Once done, in the top right-hand corner, tap Add
- The app will refresh back to the Create A Channel page (step 6)

Under Members, a list of the selected employees will be available
- To remove any employees, uncheck the box(es) that correspond with their name
- Once done, in the top right-hand corner, tap Add
- The page will refresh to the created channel!
Add specific positions to a brand-new chat channel:
- Open the Push Manager App and enter your login credentials using your Email Address and Password associated with your Push account
- On the top left corner, tap the Three Stripes
- In the drop-down menu, tap Chat
- Under Channels, tap Add Channel
- In the pop-up below, tap Create a Channel
- Under Create a Channel, input the name of the Channel
- To add the relevant members to the Channel, tap Add By Positions
- Under Add Positions, input the name of the specific position under To: Type a position and/or scroll through the list and tap the checkbox(es) that corresponds with the relevant positions
- Once done, in the top right-hand corner, tap Add
- The app will refresh back to the Create A Channel page (step X)

Under Members, a list of the selected employees will be available based on the Position(s) selected
- To remove any employees, uncheck the box(es) that correspond with their name
- Once done, in the top right-hand corner, tap Add
- The page will refresh to the created Channel!
Additional Information
Create Channels to organize conversations with multiple team members. Channels can be named in ways your company organizes departments, roles, and more. They are completely customizable to best suit your business's needs.
For example, you can create a Channel called Management, Front Desk, Inventory, Front Of House, and more!
Note that Chat is exclusive to our Premium Subscription, and Super Administrators will be able to enable this feature from Company Setup: Chat. If you do not see Chat listed, your team may not have access to this feature, or it has not been enabled.

Please note that only Super Administrators or Team Administrators with permission to Create and Update Channels can make these types of changes. Currently, Employees cannot create Channels.
