How To Add Users To An Existing Chat Channel In The Push Manager App

Goal

  • How to add more of my team to a group channel in Chat as a manager
  • How to remove users from a Chat Channel in Push

Environment:

  • Push Manager App

Process:

  1. Open the Push Manager App and enter your login credentials using your Email Address and Password associated with your Push account
  2. On the top left corner, tap the Three Stripes 
  3. In the drop-down menu, tap Chat
  4. Under Channels, tap the specific Channel you wish to add more users
  5. On the top right corner of the Channel, tap the i icon
  6. Tap  Manage Members
  7. Under Manage Members tap either Add By Employee or Add By Positions
  8. If Add By Employee is selected, input the name of the specific team members under To: Type a name and/or scroll through the list and tap the checkbox(es) that corresponds with the relevant team member(s)
  9. If Add By Positions is selected,  input the name of the specific position under To: Type a position and/or scroll through the list and tap the checkbox(es) that corresponds with the relevant positions
  10. Once done, in the top right-hand corner, tap Add
  11. The app will refresh back to the Manage Members page (same as step 7)
  12. Under Members, a list of the selected team members will be available based on the Position(s)/Employee(s) selected
    1. To remove any employees, uncheck the box(es) that correspond with their name
  13. Once done, in the top right-hand corner tap Confirm
  14. The app will refresh back to the settings page for the Channel (same as step 6)
  15. In the top left corner, tap the Left-Facing Arrow icon to access the Channel and/or navigate back to the Chat tab

Additional Information

Channels are a great tool for organizing conversations with multiple team members. They can be named in ways your company organizes departments, roles, and more. Channels are completely customizable to best suit your business's needs.

For example, you can create a Channel called Management, Front Desk, Inventory, Front Of House, and more! 

Note that Chat is exclusive to our Premium Subscription, and Super Administrators will be able to enable this feature from Company Setup: Chat. If you do not see Chat listed, your team may not have access to this feature, or it has not been enabled.

If you are an employee, please get in touch with your direct employer/manager for any questions. 

Please note that only Super Administrators or Team Administrators with permission to Add & Remove Users From Channels can adjust the users in a Channel. Currently, Employees cannot manage Channels.
