⚡ What is the Daily Crib Sheet?
The Daily Crib Sheet is a condensed, printable version of a single day's schedule, pulled directly from your Weekly Schedule. Think of it as a snapshot of one day's shifts, organized into a simple list you can print or export as a spreadsheet, without needing to open the full Scheduler.
The Crib Sheet reflects whatever shifts are already scheduled for that day, so you can generate an up-to-date copy any time you need one on the floor, at the front desk, or in a printed binder.
💡 | Tip: Since the Crib Sheet is generated from the Weekly Schedule, any last-minute changes to shifts will show up the next time you open it for that day.
🔎 Why Use the Daily Crib Sheet?
- Quick, portable reference: Get a clean, single-day view of shifts without scrolling through the full Weekly Schedule.
- Customizable columns: Choose exactly which details show up—phone numbers, tags, comments, labour costs, positions, and more, so the sheet only includes what your team needs.
- Flexible layout: Switch between a single or two-column layout to fit more information on a printed page.
- Print or export: Print a physical copy directly, or export to Excel if you'd rather work with the data digitally.
🔐 Access required
The Crib Sheet is part of our Scheduling feature and is available on the Signature or Supreme packages.

Accessing the Crib Sheet
The Crib Sheet is accessible from any weekly view of the Scheduler, one day at a time. It doesn't matter which view type you're using, as long as you're viewing the schedule in a weekly format.
📌 | Note: The Crib Sheet isn't currently available from the Daily view, so make sure the Scheduler is filtered to a weekly view before continuing.
- Click the Scheduler tab.
- (Optional) To adjust how the Scheduler is displayed, click the drop-down menu next to Employees, and select Employees, Employees Unique, or Positions.
- (Optional) Click Filter, and select the Departments, Positions, or Shift Tags you want the Crib Sheet to be based on.
- From the Weekly Schedule view, click the day you want to view.
- From the menu that appears, click Crib Sheet.
- A pop-up will appear, displaying the details of your Crib Sheet.
- See the section below on how to filter and export your Crib Sheet!
📌 | Note: The Crib Sheet opens in a new browser tab or window, showing that day's schedule along with a full set of display and formatting options.
Customizing (Filtering) the Crib Sheet
You have the ability to customize what information appears in the Crib Sheet, ranging from which Departments or Positions to include, to Shift Tags, comments, and more. The Crib Sheet brings in information based on how you're currently viewing the Scheduler in the platform, so you have the ability to either customize what you see before opening the Crib Sheet or adjust it further once you're in the Crib Sheet.
In the Crib Sheet pop-up, the following filters will be available. Some will be checked automatically, depending on how you viewed the Scheduler on the platform when you opened it.
Check or uncheck the box(es) to customize what appears in the Crib Sheet:
Show Option What It Includes or Excludes Phone Numbers Employee phone numbers. End Times Each shift's scheduled end time. Tags Any Shift Tags applied to a shift. Comments Comments added to a shift. Show Last Name's Initial Only Displays employees' last names as an initial only, instead of in full. Breaks Scheduled break times. Sales Forecast Forecasted sales figures. Labour Costs Labour cost figures. Labour % Sales Labour cost as a percentage of sales. Labour Hours Total scheduled labour hours. Sales per Man Hours Sales generated per labour hour. Events Any Calendar Events scheduled for the day. Profit Center Summaries Summary totals by Profit Center. House Shifts Any scheduled House Shifts. All Periods/All Positions Includes or excludes a specific period or Position from the sheet.
💡 | Tip: If you only need the sheet for one department or role, unchecking ALL POSITIONS and selecting just the Positions you need keeps the printed sheet shorter and easier to scan.Layout: Horizontally / Two-Column Layout By default, the Crib Sheet sits centred on the page. Choose Horizontally to lay periods out side by side instead of stacked, or Two-Column Layout to split the sheet into two side-by-side sections—useful on busier days with many shifts or Positions. Shift Sorting: By Time / By Tags Sorts shifts chronologically (By Time), or groups them by Shift Tag (By Tags). House Shifts: As Normal Shifts / As Separate Category Choose As Normal Shifts to include House Shifts alongside the list of employees who have shifts assigned, or As Separate Category to separate House Shifts out into their own section. Font Size Click Small, Medium, or Large to adjust the text size.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Crib Sheet
Have questions about viewing or printing your Daily Crib Sheet? Whether you're wondering how to open it, what the display options do, or how printing differs from exporting, this section provides quick answers to help you get the sheet you need with confidence.
Q: What's the difference between Print and Export to Excel?
A: Print opens your browser's print dialogue so you can print a physical copy of the Crib Sheet. Export to Excel downloads the same information as a spreadsheet you can save, edit, or share digitally.
Q: Can I choose what information appears in the Crib Sheet?
A: Yes. Use the checkboxes in the Crib Sheet pop-up to include or exclude details like phone numbers, tags, comments, labour figures, periods, and Positions. For more details, refer to the Customizing and Filtering the Crib Sheet section of this article.
Q: Why would I use Two-Column Layout instead of the standard view?
A: Two-Column Layout splits the sheet into two side-by-side sections, which can fit more information onto a single printed page. This is especially useful on days with many shifts or Positions scheduled.
