Environment:
- Push Web App
Process:
Canadian Settings:
- Click the Company Name in the top right-hand corner
- In the drop-down menu, click Company Setup
- On the left-hand navigation bar, click Journal Entry Settings
- Under Vacation Payable, click the drop-down menu and select either Group Vacation Pay or Separate Vacation By Cost Center
- Under Cost Centers, click the drop-down menu and select either Employee Cost Center or Position Cost Center
- Under Show Invoice Items, check/uncheck the box
- Under Group CPP/EI, check/uncheck the box
- Under Separate EHT By Cost Center, check/uncheck the box (Ontario and Quebec only)
- Under Group Separate Journal Items, check/uncheck the box
- Check/uncheck the box that corresponds with any unique Earning and Deduction Presets that were set to have a Separate Journal Entry
- Once done, click Update Journal Entry Settings
USA Settings
- Click the Company Name in the top right-hand corner
- In the drop-down menu, click Company Setup
- On the left-hand navigation bar, click Journal Entry Settings
- Under Vacation Payable, click the drop-down menu and select either Group Vacation Pay or Separate Vacation By Cost Center
- Under Cost Centers, click the drop-down menu and select either Employee Cost Center or Position Cost Center
- Under Show Invoice Items, check/uncheck the box
- Under Group Separate Journal Items, check/uncheck the box
- Check/uncheck the box that corresponds with any unique Earning and Deduction Presets that were set to have a Separate Journal Entry
- Once done, click Update Journal Entry Settings
Additional Information
By default, the majority of earnings presets are set to be grouped under the line Salary and Wages. If you wish to differ these earnings presets, a member of the Push Support Team can update the preset setup for the relevant presets to have a Separate Journal Entry line.
Once the specific preset(s) setup has been updated, under Journal Entry Settings, each of them will be listed for you to enable it to be separated (as mentioned in step 10 (Canada) and step 8 (USA).
Note that any changes made to Journal Entry Settings are for future pay periods. If you would like past reports to be updated with the new changes, please re-run the distributions to update.
Please note that only Super Administrators have access to make changes under Journal Entry Settings.
