Managing Branding Under ATS Settings

⚡ What is Branding under ATS Settings?

Branding under ATS Settings controls how your job postings appear to applicants by letting you customize the visual and written elements of your careers page, including your logo, colours, and messaging.

Within ATS Settings, Branding can be set up in two ways, depending on your account:

  1. Single-Location Branding: one set of branding applies across your entire account.
  2. Multi-Location Branding: You can either apply the same branding across all locations or create separate branding for specific locations.

If you're just starting out with our Applicant Tracking feature or haven't yet published a job posting, Branding should be one of your first steps so your careers page and postings look complete and on-brand from the start.

🔎 Why Use Branding Settings?

Here are some common reasons teams set up ATS Branding:

  • Build a consistent candidate experience: Add your logo, brand colour, and cover photo to ensure every job posting and your Current Openings page reflect your company's identity.
  • Help candidates recognize your postings: A recognizable logo and colour make it easier for candidates to identify that a posting is legitimate and belongs to your business.
  • Turn printed postings into applications: If you display a job posting in a physical location, a QR code lets candidates scan and apply directly, instead of dropping off a resume.
  • Tailor branding by location: Multi-location accounts can apply the same branding across all layered locations or create distinct branding for specific ones.
  • Collect required acknowledgments: The Consent Declaration Message lets you present candidates with a legal or privacy-related statement they must check off before applying.
  • Reassure candidates after they apply: A custom submission response acknowledges the candidate's time and effort right when the process can feel most uncertain.

Navigating to ATS Settings: Branding

When your account is first set up, the only branding that typically carries over by default is your company logo, pulled from Company Setup. Branding Settings is where you'll build out the rest, and it's one of the first things we recommend setting up to ensure your job postings reflect your business's branding.

  1. Click the Applicant Tracking tab.
  2. On the left-hand navigation bar, click ATS Settings.
  3. Under ATS Settings, select Branding.

Setting Up Branding for Single & Multi-Location Accounts

How you get to your customization options depends on whether your account manages one location or several. Multi-location accounts (sometimes referred to as layered-location accounts) can either apply a single set of branding everywhere or create separate branding for specific locations.

📌 | Note: Multi-Location Branding is being rolled out gradually as of July 2026. If you do not see this option in your account and would like access, please contact our Support team who can enable it for you.

  1. From ATS Settings, select Branding.
  2. If you are in a single-location account, skip to the Customizing Your Branding Settings section below.
  3.  If you are a multi-location account, you have two options for setting up branding:
    1. If all locations use the same branding, click Default, and the page will load to the list of customization options. If location(s) have different branding, click Create Brand.
    2. Under Brand Name, enter the title of your choosing.
    3. Under Locations, click the drop-down menu and select the Location(s) the branding applies to, or leave it blank to select all.
    4. Once done, scroll down to the list of customization options below.

Customizing Your Branding Settings

Once you've reached the customization options, you can build out your careers page branding, from visual elements like your logo and theme colour to written elements like your About Us message and application-related messaging.

Think of these settings as a live page; you can come back and update any of these settings at any time, and your job postings will reflect the changes as soon as you click save.

💡 | Tip: A Preview is available at the beginning of the Branding Settings page, showing how your Company Logo and Theme Colour will look. It updates automatically as you make changes.

Field How to Fill It Out Notes
1. Company Logo Click Choose File to upload a file representing your company logo. Must be a PNG or JPEG file. Minimum size is 40px high, but we recommend a higher-resolution image (approx. 120px or higher) for larger screens.
2. Cover Photo Click Choose File to upload a file, such as an image with your slogan. Optional — skip if not applicable. Must be a PNG or JPEG file, minimum 1960px by 400px.
3. Theme Colour Click the colour box and select or create a colour — typically your main brand colour. 📌 | Note: adds a colored line above your company logo on job postings and the Current Openings page.
4. QR Code Check or uncheck the box labelled "Display a QR code on each job posting." 💡 | Tip: great if you plan to print postings — candidates can scan the code to apply or save the link for later, instead of you manually collecting resumes.
5. Title Click About Us to adjust the title if applicable.  shown above to published job postings on the Current Openings page. The Title details are displayed on the Current Openings page.
6. Body Click the text box and enter your introduction blurb so candidates understand who your company is.

The Body details are displayed on the Current Openings page.

💡 | Tip: Try to focus on why someone should want to apply to your business, not just what the business does.

7. Consent Declaration Message Click the text box and enter a legal or privacy-related statement if applicable.   Examples: confirming the accuracy of submitted information or consent to store data in the HR platform.

Optional — leave blank if not applicable. The message you enter appears next to a checkbox, which candidates must select to confirm their agreement before applying.
8. Applicant Submission Response Click the white box and enter a message shown to candidates immediately after they submit an application — e.g., a thank-you note, an expected response timeframe, or a note that only advancing candidates will be contacted.

Optional — leave blank if not applicable.

📌 | Note: this message appears right after submission, and is often a reassuring moment for candidates during a process that can feel uncertain.

💡 | Tip: Automated confirmation emails can also be set up if applicable.

9. Once done, click Save, and a pop-up titled Save Successful will appear. Click Confirm to close it.

Q: If I have multiple locations, do I need to set up branding separately for each one?
A: Not necessarily. If all your locations share the same look, you can click Default to apply one set of branding across all of them. If specific locations need different branding, you can create a separate Brand and assign it to just those locations.

📌 | Note: Multi-Location Branding (only applicable for Layered-Location accounts) is being rolled out gradually as of July 2026. If you don't see this option in your account and would like access, please contact our Support team who can enable it for you.

Q: Where will my Company Logo and Theme Colour actually appear?
A: They appear on your published job postings and on the Current Openings page that lists all available roles. You can see how they'll look ahead of time using the Preview at the top of the Branding Settings page if applicable.

Q: Do I have to fill out every field under Branding Settings?
A: No. All toggles and fields under Branding Settings are optional and not required. It's entirely up to you what you'd like to include on your careers page. You can leave any of them blank or unchecked if they don't apply to your business.

Q: What's the benefit of turning on the QR code option?
A: Traditionally, some businesses accept resumes in person, which means you're responsible for reviewing each one and manually adding the candidate to the system yourself.

With the QR code, you can instead let candidates know to scan the code for the role they're interested in, putting the responsibility back on them to fill out the application directly.

Q: I don't see the option to set up Multi-Location Branding. Why not?
A: Multi-Location Branding is being rolled out gradually as of July 2026. If you don't see this option in your account and would like access, please contact our Support team who can enable it for you.
