Issue
- My Employees should only have 80 hours reset balance, but they have 90; why?
Environment:

Resolution
- The Leave Management policy is set to have a carry forward balance higher than 0. Employees that didn't use their entire balance the previous year will bring over this balance. Depending on the limit set, the carry forward will add to the new opening balance making it higher than it should be.
- To fix this, the Leave Management policy must be edited to have a carry forward limit of zero (0) to avoid any hours coming over from the previous period.
Additional Information
For a balance under leave management to be updated, either a Payroll or Off Run needs to be run. Leave Management is conditional on payroll being run. If you set enter a balance adjustment on the employee to set it to the desired values it will only reset after the payroll immediately after is run.
The Leave Management feature is currently available on the Premium Subscription or Pro Subscription with the Leave Management Add-On. In addition, Leave Management requires the Payroll Add On.
