Process:
Update an existing employee:
- Click the Employees tab
- On the left-hand navigation bar, select the appropriate Employee List: Active, Pending, On Leave, or Inactive
- Under Search, input the name of the employee
- Under Edit, click the Pencil icon that corresponds with the specific employee
- Under SIN, click Click here for temporary default SIN
- Fill out any other information that is relevant to the profile
- Once done, click Update Employee
Adding a new employee:
- Click the Employees tab
- On the left-hand navigation bar, click Active Employees
- Under Active Employees, click Add A New Employee
- Fill in any necessary information
- Under SIN, click Click here for temporary default SIN
- Continue to input any other relevant information
- Once done, click Add Employee
Additional Information
Note that a temporary default SIN is only available to accounts located in Canada. We recommend that the employee's real SIN is updated before December 31st of each year. This is to ensure that T4s are processed and submitted to the CRA with accurate information.
The system will use the SIN that is in an Employee Profile when processing T4s. Any employees that have a default SIN will be listed under the Payroll tab: Run Payroll - These active employees have an invalid SIN. We recommend generating the T4 Summary Report before end of year to ensure all information is correct.
If you do not want your account to have the option to select a temporary default SIN, please contact the Push Support Team at support@pushoperations.com to disable this feature.
Please note that only Super Administrators and Team Administrators with access to view and edit the employee position will be able to add and save the changes.
