Additional Information
Depending on the Company's policy, you can allow Administrators to receive notifications of when employees swap or release shifts.
If an employee releases a shift or requests to swap a shift, you will not receive a notification until another employee accepts the swap or release. You will be not notified of this request and it will be waiting to be approved under Shift Approvals.
We recommend communicating with your employees that a Shift Swap/Release needs to be approved by an Administrator first before not attending/switching a shift. The Shift will remain on the employees Scheduler until approved by an Administrator, once approved, the employees Scheduler will be updated and they will receive a notification.
NOTE: At any given time, either the employee who initiated the shift release or the receiver can cancel the release – even if it’s pending manager approval.
If you wish to update how many days an employees has to request a swap or release of a scheduled shift, you can do so under Scheduler Settings. This will assist you in ensuring there is enough coverage each day.
Please note that only Super Administrators have access to Scheduler Settings to update what Administrators receive notifications.
