Getting Started with BI Insights

⚡ What is BI Insights?

BI Insights is a flexible reporting workspace built into the PUSH platform. It brings together data from across your account, like labour costs, payroll details, employee information, sales trends, and more into dashboards and visualizations that you build and customize yourself.

BI Insights works alongside your existing reports, not in place of them. Have you ever wanted to customize an existing report to show only the details you care about, or combine two reports into a single view? BI Insights makes that possible. Rather than relying on static, one-size-fits-all reports, you decide exactly what to track and how to view it, so decisions are based on your own data instead of guesswork.

🔐 Access required

The BI Insights feature is only available with the BI Insights Add-On and can be purchased exclusively by accounts on the Supreme package.

Who can access BI Insights?

• Super Administrators: Have full access to manage BI Insights from the Enterprise Dashboard for the entire organization. Access is granted only if explicitly added—it's not provided by default. If you believe you should have access, please consult with your team. A user with access can request that the PUSH Support Team add new users.

Who does not have access to create and manage BI Insights?

• Team Administrators: Do not have access to the Enterprise Dashboard and cannot create or manage BI Insights.

Accessing BI Insights

Since BI Insights is built into the Enterprise Dashboard experience, you'll access it directly from your existing account rather than through a separate login.

1. Navigate to the top right-hand corner and click the Company Name.
2. Under Organizations, select the relevant Dashboard from the drop-down menu.
3. Click the BI Tool tab.
4. From the left-hand panel, browse your available dashboards! This includes dashboards prebuilt by PUSH, ones you have created, and any that have been shared with you.

5. To build a new dashboard or visualization, click the plus (+) icon at the top of the dashboard list. From there, you can build new ones from scratch.

Q: I don't have BI Insights, but I'm interested in learning more. How do I get started?
A: If you're interested in learning more about BI Insights or seeing what it looks like, send an email to our Push Support Team at support@pushoperations.com, and they'll forward you along to the right team member!

Q: What's the difference between BI Insights and the Enterprise Dashboard I already use? 
A: The Enterprise Dashboard you're used to focuses on a fixed set of metrics: your sales forecast, scheduled labour, actual sales, and actual labour, all in one at-a-glance view. 

BI Insights goes further;  instead of a fixed set of metrics, it's a fully customizable reporting workspace. You and your team can build dashboards that pull in different parts of your account's data, such as payroll, employee information, sales, and labour, and more. And you have the freedom to organize the details however it works best for your business, rather than just the built-in set.

Q: Is BI Insights replacing my Enterprise Dashboard? 
A: Not at this time. Your original Enterprise Dashboard will still be available, showing the same fixed set of metrics you're used to, your sales forecast, scheduled labour, actual sales, and actual labour.

BI Insights takes that one step further, letting you build fully custom dashboards tailored to your business.

Q: Why can't I access BI Insights? 
A: There are two separate requirements to access BI Insights. 

First, your account needs the BI Insights Add-On, which is exclusive to accounts on the Supreme package. If you're interested, reach out to our PUSH Support Team, who can connect you with the right team member.

Second, you need to be a Super Administrator with Enterprise Dashboard access, which is not granted by default. If you believe you should have access, an existing Super Administrator with access will need to send a request to our Push Support Team on your behalf.
