How To Update Break Options For Advanced Breaks

Goal

Environment:

  • Push Web App

Process:

Edit a Break:

  1. Click the Company Name in the top right-hand corner
  2. In the drop-down menu, click Company Setup
  3. On the left-hand Navigation bar, click Breaks Setup
  4. Click the Three Dots icon on the right side that corresponds with the relevant Break
  5. In the pop-up, click Edit
  6. Under Break Name, input the updated title of the Break
  7. Under Break Duration (Minutes), input the updated total amount of minutes of the break 
  8. Under Pair or Unpaid, select the Radio Button icon that corresponds with the break being Paid or Unpaid
  9. Under Positions, click the Radio Button icon that corresponds with either All Positions or Custom Positions 
  10. Under Custom Positions, click Edit Positions
    1. In the pop-up, check/uncheck the box(es) that correspond with the specific Position(s) that will have access to the Break or click Select All
    2. Once done, click Select Positions 
  11. Under Break Prompt, leave blank (required for California Break Compliance)
  12. Under Break Waiver, leave blank (required for California Break Compliance)
  13. Under Available on the time app at the start of hour;
  14. Break penalty triggers if break is not taken by the end of the hour
  15. Waivable if clock out happens between hours; leave
  16. No Early Breakout, select either check box if applicable:
    1. Check the box if employees cannot come back from their break until it is completed or a
    2. Uncheck the box if employees have the ability to come back from their break early without an Administrator override
  17. Enforce Violation,
  18. Employee Selectable, select either check box:
    1. Check the box for employees to be able to select this Break
    2. Uncheck the box for this break to be unavailable to employees
  19. Warning Threshold,
  20. Danger Threshold,
  21. Once done, click Save

Delete a Break:

  1. Click the Company Name in the top right-hand corner
  2. In the drop-down menu, click Company Setup
  3. On the left-hand Navigation bar, click Breaks Setup
  4. Click the Three Dots icon on the right side that corresponds with the relevant Break
  5. In the pop-up, click Delete

Additional Information

When these break options are created, the employees can choose what break to go for when inputting their Clock ID in the Push Time app. 

Note that Advanced Breaks is only available on the Push Time app.

Please note that only Super Administrators have access to Breaks Setup.

The Advanced Break feature is currently available on the Premium Subscription.
