⚡ Why am I seeing a "My Tasks" tab in the Push Employee App?
As of August 5th, 2026, you can view, complete, and track HR Tasks assigned to you, including forms, reminders, and videos, directly from the Push Employee mobile app, using the new My Tasks section.
Previously, these tasks could only be completed on a desktop browser. Now you can stay on top of your outstanding tasks from wherever you are, right from your phone or tablet.
📌 | Note: Forms assigned as part of Digital Onboarding will continue to be completed through the existing onboarding experience, and will not appear under My Tasks. If you're currently completing onboarding, refer to the onboarding guide instead.

Understanding My Tasks
The My Tasks tab in the Push Employee app is where anything your employer assigns to you will appear.
You'll be notified that a task has been assigned to you in a few different ways:
- An email notification with a direct link to open the task in a web browser.
- A push notification is sent to your phone from the Push Employee app.
- A badge number under the My Tasks tab, letting you know how many tasks are currently assigned to you (e.g., 1).
To help you understand what tasks are still awaiting your response or acknowledgement, Tasks are separated into Incomplete and Completed sections.
- Under Incomplete, you'll see the name of each task and the due date by which it needs to be completed.
- Under Completed, you'll see the task name, the completion date, and the option to open and review a copy, if applicable.
- Opening a task shows a panel with its name, due date, and a description written by your employer that explains what it's about or why it's needed.
Task Types You May Be Assigned
Your employer can assign three different types of tasks, depending on what they need you to complete. Each has its own workflow once opened, so refer to the dedicated article below for full instructions.
- Forms: the most common type, where you're asked to fill in information, sign a document, or review and confirm details.
- Videos: may require you to watch training videos on topics relevant to the business, such as email phishing or credit card fraud.
- Reminders: used to share updates or important information your employer wants you to be aware of, such as internal announcements or upcoming promotions.
📌 | Note: While forms are the most commonly used, you may occasionally see video or reminder tasks depending on your employer's setup.
Frequently Asked Questions About My Tasks
Do you have questions about the My Tasks section in the Push Employee app? We've got you covered with quick answers to common questions.
💡 | Tip: Can't find what you're looking for? Contact your direct manager or employer if you need more help with a specific task.
Q: What does the badge number on My Tasks mean?
A: The badge shows how many tasks are currently marked as Incomplete. Once you submit a task, it moves to Completed and the badge count updates.
Q: Will I lose my progress if I close the app before finishing a task?
A: No. Your progress is saved automatically as you work. You can close the app and pick up where you left off later from My Tasks.
Q: Why don't I see my onboarding forms under My Tasks?
A: Digital Onboarding is a separate experience from My Tasks and is not currently part of the mobile app. If you're setting up your account for the first time, your forms will be part of the onboarding process instead. Refer to the onboarding guide for more information.
If you're looking for a specific file or document, check out the My Files tab in the mobile app. This is where you can find files uploaded to your account (by you or your employer) that you can view or download.
Q: Can I still complete tasks using a desktop browser instead of the app?
A: Yes. Completing tasks on mobile is an additional option, not a replacement. You can continue to access and complete assigned forms, videos, or reminders through a desktop browser if you prefer. Check the dedicated article for each task type for details.
Q: I got a pop-up the first time I opened the app — what was that?
A: That's a one-time notification introducing the new My Tasks experience. You'll only see it once, the first time you open the app after this feature becomes available to you (released on August 5, 2026).
Q: I'm not sure what type of task I've been assigned. How do I tell?
A: Open the task from My Tasks and check the description, or open the task and from the bottom panel and preview will appear (e.g., Complete Form). If you're still unsure, check with your employer or manager.
Q: Is an engagement survey the same as a task under My Tasks?
A: No, these are two separate features. Engagement surveys are a distinct way for your employer to collect feedback, and they don't appear under My Tasks. If you've been asked to complete a survey, refer to your invitation or check with your employer for how to access it.
Q: What happens if I don't complete a task before its due date?
A: For HR Tasks (forms, videos, and reminders), you can still complete a task after its due date has passed.
That said, we recommend completing it on time, as your employer or direct manager will expect it by the due date and may follow up with you directly if it isn't. Missing deadlines could also impact your performance.
