Purpose
This article explains how Push’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) identifies and tracks job application sources. Understanding how sources are assigned helps ensure accurate tracking of candidate origins, which can be useful for recruitment analysis.
Overview
Push’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) automatically tracks where job applicants come from. The system looks for a source in the job posting URL. If no source is found, it attempts to detect the referral website the candidate used before applying.
If no source can be determined, the source field will be left blank.
How ATS Sources Are Tracked
- The system first checks if a source is included in the job posting URL.
- If a source is not present, it looks at the referring website (e.g., Facebook or LinkedIn).
- If neither is available, the source field remains blank.
Example:
If a candidate clicks a job link from Facebook, the ATS will tag the source as “Facebook” even if the URL does not include source=facebook.
Supported ATS Sources
The system automatically recognizes the following sources:
- Company careers page
- Referral
- Recruiter
- Indeed
- Walk-in
⚠ Note: These sources cannot be customized or changed.
Who Can See ATS Sources?
Only Super and Team Administrators with access to ATS settings can view and manage source information.
