Here’s how to prepare and begin the account migration process:
- Create a support ticket: Reach out to us at support@pushoperations.com with the subject line: “Your Account Name: Account Migration.”
- Plan ahead: Try to give us at least 2-3 weeks’ notice before initiating the migration. Last-minute requests may be subject to availability, so the more notice you can provide, the better.
- If your CRA/EIN is changing: When the old account is closed, the CRA/IRS requires you to issue ROEs when deactivating employees.
- Best time to migrate: For the smoothest transition, aim to complete the migration at the end of a payroll cycle. This minimizes the effort involved in setting up the new CRA/EIN and avoids any issues with overlapping time clocks.
