Environment:
- Push Web App
Process:
Employee Cost Center
- Click the Employees tab
- On the left hand navigation bar, select the appropriate Employee List: Active, Pending, On Leave, or, Inactive
- Under Search, input the name of the specific Employee
- Under Edit, click the Pencil icon that corresponds with the employee
- Scroll down to the box Cost Center
- Click the drop-down and pick the Cost Center you would like to assign
- Click Update Employee at the bottom of the employee profile
Position Cost Center
- Click the Employees tab
- On the left hand navigation bar, click Employee Positions
- Under Search, input the name of the Position you want to assign a Cost Center
- Click the Pencil icon to the left of the Position
- Click the drop-down under the Cost Center header
- Pick the Cost Center you would like to assign
- Click Update Position
Additional Information
You can only assign one employee cost center, if employees have multiple Positions, we recommend using Position Cost Center.
- Employee Cost Center: is when you assign the cost center to the employee assigned to an employee in their employee profile. Employees can only have one Cost Center, even if they hold multiple positions.
- Position Cost Center: is when you assign the Cost Center to a Position from the Employee Positions page.
We recommend sorting Journal Entries by Position Cost Centers.
If you notice that the Journal Entry Report states Unknown Cost Centers. You will need to make the necessary updates in the Employee Profile(s) or Positions have an assigned Cost Center.
Once completed, you will need to re-run the distributions to update the Journal Entry Report and this will update the Cost Center Summary Report.
Please note, that only Super Administrators and Team Administrators with permissions have access to assign Cost Centers.
