If you have 2FA enabled in your Push account, before wiping out the data on your old device, it is very important to transfer these 2-factor codes to your new device! Below you will find information on how to best transfer your 2FA codes based on the Authenticator you are using.
Note: the Authy backup password you set cannot be recovered if lost.
Note: some security advocates say since Authenticator traffic is not end-to-end encrypted, attaching your Authenticator codes to your Google account adds a risk of compromise. If that worries you, and if you have your old/new devices, it's better to go through the manual transfer workflow below down the page, where you generate an export QR code to scan with your new device.
Note: similar to the others, you can associate a Microsoft account with your codes for later recovery.
If you do not want to associate an account with your 2FA codes or back them up to the cloud, you could turn off 2FA manually before getting rid of your old device, then re-enable it when you get your new device.
Old Device Lost/Stolen
If you had any of the account connection/cloud backup options set as described before, then you should be able to restore your codes after logging in on your new device! Otherwise, you may have to use backup codes (not yet supported by Push) or contact support for the app whose 2-factor code you need.
